A parasitic postholer TRASHED our local trails today.  90% of their steps were postholes.  I suspect this individual would also not hesitate urinate on the toilet seat.  I tried to fix what I could, but it may be a lost cause before the temperatures drop and solidify the mess they left behind. 
 
I would suggest that conscientious hikers wear snowshoes when snow is soft so that they leave behind a trail that is in equal or better shape than they found it. 
 
Partly sunny afternoon with temperatures in the mid-40s (did not get below freezing yesterday, so the snowpack, 10-20 inches deep, is very soft and may still be soft even after it potentially starts snowing tonight).   |
