A parasitic postholer TRASHED our local trails today. 90% of their steps were postholes. I suspect this individual would also not hesitate urinate on the toilet seat. I tried to fix what I could, but it may be a lost cause before the temperatures drop and solidify the mess they left behind.
I would suggest that conscientious hikers wear snowshoes when snow is soft so that they leave behind a trail that is in equal or better shape than they found it.
Partly sunny afternoon with temperatures in the mid-40s (did not get below freezing yesterday, so the snowpack, 10-20 inches deep, is very soft and may still be soft even after it potentially starts snowing tonight). |
