Comments
Comments: Wore spikes up and down Haystack road. Definitely still a snowshoes required on the trail. I will admit I tried the first 30 feet or so with just spikes..and walked back to the bridge to switch to the snow shoes. Would not have made it otherwise. After seeing 3 guys returning to the parking lot just as I was departing, I did not see another hiker, and maybe just encountered 3 or 4 snowmobiles. Views from summit were impressive… Presidentials fully visible… Skipped North as was still not broken out. Recorded 5.8 miles so feel I earned the check mark #49 for the 52WAV summit.
