Trail conditions were OK, not great - really a mixed bag. It's mostly packed firm, but softer in places. We were the only party there today using snowshoes - the other folks we met were all using spikes, mostly getting along reasonably well but occasionally punching through the packed surface to leave deep postholes. There's a lot of snow. Snowshoes worked very well and allowed us to avoid the holes. |
