The Red Hill Trail may have been firm enough to Microspike over the weekend, however with sun and temperatures in the 40s today (warmest day this year maybe?), things were pretty soft in places. Unfortunately someone from another state to remain nameless barebooted this afternoon and treated the trail like an MBTA restroom. The trail didn't get quite as soft higher up, but that also means that stretch will be more prone to postholing with the midweek forecast. Snowpack is 1 to 2.5 feet deep. I wore snowshoes roundtrip and attempted to leave the trail in better shape than I found it. |
