Did an out-and-back from the ski resort to the summit. Overall the trail was packed but the top half inch or so was a bit loose because there was a dusting of snow that morning and it got a little bit warm that day. So the trail was not perfect for either spikes or snowshoes, but still easily manageable. Some postholes off to the side but really nothing crazy. Trail was not icy either.
Wore microspikes the whole way and carried snowshoes but did not need them. A few people wore their snowshoes but they were not necessarily a requirement. |
