Comments
Comments: Awesome day for my first time in the Belknaps! We opted to start up Gunstock first to get the climb out of the way. The trails were soft with snowshoes a must to avoid post holes with spikes. The trail was steep in spots but in good shape otherwise. We then headed to Belknap via the Brook to Saddle trail. We had a bit of difficluty finding the East Gilford Trail from the fire tower. Don't go on the Warden Trail or near the antenna. There are yellow and white blazes that get you there from the fire tower, and it was snowmobile packed as well. we were planning on going out to Piper Mtn, but a snowshoe malfunction forced a bailout to the car via Carriage Road.
