Comments
Comments: Couldn't have asked for better conditions for a winter hike— pearl blue and perfect temps. The trail was packed pretty well at the start, but I started postholing around Bald Hill and switched to snowshoes for the rest of the hike. Lots of blowdowns and low branches with it being especially bad in the saddle between the peaks. I was the first to break trail and there were several instances where I had to stop for a minute to find my way, as the large drifts and blowdowns hid the trail fairly well.
