Route had been fairly well bootpacked in recent days, however with today's temperatures finally getting above freezing (albeit still in the 30s), things softened up. As a result, those who used the trail without snowshoes today postholed. I wore snowshoes roundtrip and was happy with them. The other person I encountered was also wearing snowshoes, which I appreciated. Snowpack is about 1 to 2 feet.

Cloudy afternoon with temperatures in the mid-30s.   |
