Snowshoes up Valley Way to the Madison Hut are recommended due to the soft nature of the snow on the trail. Some postholes and churn from those choosing not to wear snowshoes. Otherwise, Valley Way was well broken out. We wore spikes to summit Adams and Madison. There are a lot of exposed rocks so switching to spikes made it easier to maneuver. Quite a few hikers doing these summits today. Arrive early as parking lot fills up fast.
