road walk ok with thin layer of crusty snow on ice..beginning of Garfield Trail very icy..once across brooks, trail had a nice snowshoe/ski track with it well packed..up higher somewhat softer but no issues with postholing..snowshoes could have used up high but we did not see anyone with them..we used microspikes and barebooters were there also..Garfield Ridge Trail towards Galehead seemed to be heavily used and well tracked out... |
