Comments
Comments: It was a lovely day for the "soft grand opening" of the new trail on Stonehouse Mtn. A large group showed up for tour presented by members of the Orford Conservation Commission and staff from Upper Valley Land Trust.

The route was essentially unbroken so snowshoes were essential and still are, even after our group came through, as the snow is still loose and soft. Some folks went with spikes but I would not recommend that at this time.

The newer loop off the main trail leads to a nice SW viewpoint. Looking forward to returning after the snow is gone. I'd been here once before but bushwhacked part of the way. It's nice to have a formal trail.
