Valley Way was pretty well packed with snowshoes. Switched to microspikes above tree line to better navigate the rocks. There’s some deeper snow down low closer to Madison hut that snowshoes would probably be better for but I just kept the spikes on for simplicity. Adams has more snow than Madison and it might be better to keep snowshoes on but it’s pretty crusty and I kept spikes on, dealers choice I think. Decided to take airline down and theres a lot of drifts below tree line and looks like no one’s been there in the last couple days. If anyone followed me sorry for the couple of wrong turns I took! A mile or 2 from the parking lot the trails pretty torn up from ppl bare booting and turning around as well as ski tracks. Valley way is definitely a smoother trail at the moment |
