Comments
Comments: The trail was well packed and made for great snowshoeing. The glades had been scraped clean from the skiers and there was no sign of the trail. Right below the summit there was very little evidence of the trail as winds had caused drifting. There was some evidence of side paths as people wandered around making their way to the summit. I reached the summit and turned right around due to winds and by the time I reached the open rocks my trail was already covered. Coming down through the glades was interesting as loose snow from skiers made for little traction. I ran into three large groups at the base, with the majority wearing microspikes and carrying snowshoes on their backs. It was nice to get out early and I was down before the mountain opened.
