Comments
Comments: Liberty Springs was in good shape after 3 people in snowshoes ascended and descended. One bare booter ascended prior to our descent and left a fair amount of post holes. We cleaned it up some. They turned toward Little Haystack when they got to the ridge. The trail was not broken out in that direction. The trails are still soft so snowshoes are still the best option. Franconia Ridge was in good shape to the summit of Liberty.

The section between Liberty and Flume appeared to only have 1 set of tracks on it. The trees were loaded with snow and required constant ducking. It was impossible to pass without getting snow down your back. I knocked a lot off so the trip back was much better. We caught up to the person breaking trail just before the summit of Flume. Much appreciated!
