 | Comments: |
Solo breakout effort today. Trails were largely 8-10" of powdery snow, oftentimes with a crusty top layer. Some areas were windblown and dense. Drifts in places. Sometimes knee deep. Bring your snowshoes. Bare booters will regret their decision 100% until this route is packed out by more people. Bushwhacks include the Engine Hill bushwhack (rerouted to more upland route) and the Iso Express bushwhack. Last, uppermost portion of the Iso Bushwhack headed into spruce trap territory. Had to choose a more northerly location to reach Davis Path, and it's more laborious than the usual location. |
