 | Comments: |
Mt. Prospect Trail is decreasingly packed as one ascends. Snowpack is around 2 feet deep. Most folks had worn snowshoes (thank you!), but one person performing parasitic postholing did damage a day or two ago. They did not make it to the summit, as the trail is very soft above the first loop junction. The loop was not broken out, so it's just my snowshoe tracks. Some other side trails have one or two sets of snowshoe tracks, while others are unbroken. Unfortunately a Microspiking trail runner was going up as I was descending this evening, so the trail was getting pretty beat up in places. No idea how far they made it.
Sunny afternoon with temperatures in the 20s and not as much wind as recent days. |
