Comments
Comments: Met up with 11 Pemi Valley Hikers. The air was crisp, and the temperature was a frosty 7°F with a wind chill of -10°F. The sun glistened off the snow, and we were blessed to have the entire trail to ourselves, making the experience feel peaceful and serene. We quickly realized that snowshoes were the best choice for traction and comfort as we continued upward.

Upon reaching the upper falls, we were treated to a spectacular, close-up view—one that’s only possible in the winter months. The sight was breathtaking, almost like stepping into a grand amphitheater surrounded by nature’s own "pipe organ" of ice formations. The frozen landscape felt otherworldly—like entering a gothic cathedral made of ice and snow. After soaking in the views and the beauty of the falls, we enjoyed a quick lunch under the shelter of the lean-to, as the cold made it difficult to linger for too long.
