Fantastic day for Moosilauke! No wind, sun, mild temps, clouds moving in and out. Snowshoes essential on the soft-packed trails with about 2 inches of new snow from the night before. Fun to chat with some Hauser Hikers (the Monday hikers hiking on a Wed.) fellows several times. 3 skiers ascending Carriage Rd. Ravine Lodge Rd well-plowed to the lodge, fine for barebooting, until reaching the Gorge Brook Trailhead. And now another snowstorm! |
