 | Comments: |
The recent snowfall from Sunday's storm added a layer of about 8 inches, which made for a picture-perfect winter wonderland. There were clear signs that a few people had ventured out before us, some having used snowshoes, which we quickly realized was the best choice for traction and comfort. On the way back down, we decided to take change it up a bit by taking a side trail off the summit, down the original trail and near the bottom break off onto a side trail that led to a peaceful brook covered with snow and surrounded by towering pines. |
