could not get to summer lot even with 4x4. 3 cars did make it but most parked in lot on the main road and walked the 1/2 mile to the trail head |

many leaning tree ( I cut a few with my little saw) and a few larger ones that the trail gos around |

saw 4 or 5 having a fun day in the snow |

I did not get to the trail until ~11am. there were at least 30 hikers ahead of me and most of them in snow shoes. The trail was well broken out but was not packed, still a bit soft. I tried spikes but switched over the snow shoes which provided me better traction. This has obviously changed with the Saturday night storm. |
