You could probably do the whole trip bare boots, but the microspikes made an easy hike even easier. The trail is a packed powder highway. Some drifting on top but not enough to matter. Some ice, but again not enough to matter (though could be problem if you weren't paying attention).
The summit bump has a big ice block at the first big step up, but there is a bypass.
Breezy in parts and the clouds didn't really break, but a great day out anyway. Trail is FAST. |
