Comments
Comments: I had been waiting all winter for a day on Mt. Washington such as we got Thursday. No wind at all until we reached the summit and then only about 10 MPH. The sun was intense and warm. The sky pure blue. The trails above the tree line were all drifted in but the cairns were easy to see all the way to the summit. Even with the drifting you could generally tell where the trail was and if you stayed on it, it was solid under foot. The snowbank was not frozen over so passage over that section was very easy. The trip down from the summit was much easier than in the summer as it was smooth and with not stones or rocks to watch out for you could really move.

I used Hillsounds most of the way, but switched to my MSRs on the steep ascent as they gave me much better traction.
