Comments
Comments: Not much for snow depth from the start of of Mt. Kinsman Trail. Tossed on snowshoes just before the last water crossing before Bald Peak and kept them on until we were back to the same spot. We followed two hiker's snowshoe tracks up to North Kinsman, then we made fresh tracks to South Kinsman. The ridge had about 4-6" of new snow with a couple knee deep drifts. The trees were heavily snow-caked and there's some bowed down, but since the base isn't all that deep, all are easily ducked under. Overall nice mid-winter conditions with all of the steeper spots nicely ramped.

Many hikers came up Mt. Kinsman Trail today and others via Lonesome/Fishing Jimmy as well. Even with the dozens of hikers in snowshoes, this type of snow doesn't pack well, so the trail may likely be drifted back in tonight.
