 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Road to Cardigan Lodge is never perfect, but it's plowed. As long as you have AWD/4WD, should be no issues. I wouldn't want to do it in FWD, though. |

 | Comments: |
Snowshoes from start to finish today. With the exception of Hurricane Gap Trail and South Peak Trail, both of which had a good snowshoe trench with an inch or two of fresh, untouched snow on top, all trails are well broken out but still fairly soft--snowshoes were definitely the best option. Even on the summit cone, there's enough loose, drifted snow that snowshoes are better than microspikes. Gorgeous day out there today with lots of skiers out enjoying it alongside many hikers. |
