Comments
Comments: Portions of Middle and Peaked Trails to the start of the Connector were hard packed with a firm base. Bare boots or spikes work well. Black Cap Connector was unbroken. No packed base beneath the light powder snow, about 6 to 8 inches. Higher amounts on the ridge with drifting. I broke trail to within about a mile of the summit and hit my turn around time. Snowshoes are needed here with unconsolidated conditions. Likely to change over the weekend.
