Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Fun day for Cinnilla and Pepper. Some icing in the upper sections from wet new snow but no problem in the mild temps. Lincoln Woods has such wonderful smells, Guyot had nice styrofoam snow to tear around on, and so many fine treats at the summits and other stops.

Bugs:
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: We lost/found nothing but the hut caretaker asked us if we saw a pack between Bondcliff and Bond saying someone left one there due to the strong winds. That struck us as very odd.

Comments
Comments: It was a “Presi” day, little or no wind, lots of sun, mild temps, a fast set of trails and great scenics. We barebooted/spiked until reaching the steeper section of Bondcliff where we all used Hillsounds/microspikes.

At Bond Per and I put on snowshoes and shortly we were all in them until reaching the hut, where we went back to bareboots/spikes. We could have put them on after Lincoln Woods and probably should have switched earlier than we did because there were drifted stretches. There were some postholes from prior day hikers but not many. Up high there had been a light amount of new snow which was sticky in the mild temps on both spikes and snowshoes. We saw no one on the trails, and just the caretaker and one other at the hut. At the very end of the hike we felt a few wet flakes, and rained on the drive home.

This was another wonderful hike with Georg, Per and Cinnilla, and Pepper joined by Steve (Little Brown Mushroom). What a fine group to do a great hike with on a splendid day.
