Parked in lot across Route 2 from Starr King Road. A little rough getting off Route 2. Summer lot at trailhead would be accessible with care in current conditions. |

No blowdowns, signage okay. Blazing seemed okay in current conditions. Brushing mostly okay. |

| Comments: |
Carried snowshoes and microspikes, but used neither. Trail was mostly a little powder over a very firm base. Some ice seemed just beneath a dusting of snow, so some sort of traction could be helpful. One ice flow above spring at 3400 feet - a herdpath avoids this. A thaw or new snow will change things, of course. |
