Comments
Comments: We wore spikes to start. Once we reached Liberty we switched to snowshoes as we hiked to Flume. We kept them on to the end of the hike. Snowshoes worked well except for half a mile after the Liberty Springs tent site where the snow was thin and exposed rocks made it more difficult to maneuver. Some hikers used microspikes from beginning to end.
