Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked at the winter lot for Stonehouse Pond in Barrington. However, the access road gate was open. The road was not plowed all the way to the main parking but had been traveled by enough vehicles that I could have driven all the way in. First time I've ever seen the gate open during winter.

Comments
Comments: A beautiful sunny day for a long walk around the perimeter of Stonehouse Forest. Only saw three people all day.

This entire route had been traveled by boots and/or skis. Doesn't seem like enough snow to ski but I'm not a skier. Snowshoes are not needed at the present time as there are too many rocks and roots. Spikes were fine but these trails could also be done in bare boots right now.

I was looking forward to checking out the summit register on Bumfagging Hill again but it's been removed. :(
