We were able to drive into the Starr King lot with AWD. There are several deep ruts on the way in, but we had no issues with our Highlander. Three other cars in the lot. |

The weather was better than forcasted. Temps in the 20s and well protected from light winds. Winds a little stronger on Starr King. The trail was well packed with some loose powder once you enter the conifers. We used mirco spikes without issue. We saw one hiker with snowshoes, the others 8 ( included our 3) wore spikes. The conifers are heavily draped with snow and very pretty. |
