Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Wanted to park at Crescent Ridge Trailhead, but a large sign as you turn onto Randolph Hill Road informs you that the parking is closed and to “turn around here”. I remember someone else mentioning this earlier in the season, so we turned around and parked at the Randolph Town Offices.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The crossing between Bluffway and Glenside is bridged, but not really where the trail crosses. Use common sense when crossing here (avoid the areas next to the large areas of open water) and you’ll be fine. Snow is deep enough that you can bushwhack around in snowshoes easily.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few blowdowns that people are going around…mostly on Pasture Path. I think they’ll have to wait until Spring anyway. One duck under on Wood Path. Didn’t see a sign or blazing at the eastern end of Pasture Path, but followed the ski tracks and it was the trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Snow was pretty deep and unbroken for much of the day. Most dogs probably wouldn’t like it.
Bugs
Bugs:
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Very small microspike (no brand or size, looks like an extra small or child’s size) hanging on the sign at the intersection of Pasture Path and EZ Way.

Comments
Comments: Uneventful day tracing some trails in the Randolph Community Forest. Snowshoes were a definite must (or skis). See above for parking. Mossy Glen area has some tricky spots (a water crossing and sketchy sidehilling along Glenside Trail). It wasn’t particularly picturesque in the winter, but I bet Mossy Glen would be nice in the summer. We also really enjoyed Wood Path. Only a few peek-a-views of Madison and Adams (and the Carters from the top of Will’s Way).
