Parked at the small lot near Ridge Trail trailhead. Plenty of room. There's also the enormous ski area parking lot that is free to use. |

Not news, but the blazes on Saddle and Overlook all face the wrong directions and make route finding more difficult when breaking trail. Blazes should face the direction of the trail, not perpendicular to the trail. |

T.O.M. Liz and I planned on full traverse, but it was slower than expected with the route finding issues and decided to avoid the type 2 fun of route finding in the dark as temperatures plummeted. It was an outstanding day. Sun was out, woods were beautiful. It was cold in the shady sections. There's not a lot of base and snowshoes got beat up on the rocks. Hopefully more snow fixes that. |
