|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Mt. Kinsman Trail is very icy - mostly covered with a dusting of snow. However, there are several sections with clear ice where dogs will have no traction.
Cinnilla handled it well but took several detours into the woods to bypass these sections. |

| Comments: |
I used Hillsounds all the way. Microspikes will be okay on the lower, mostly flat sections but may not offer enough "bite" on the ice-sections at higher elevation.
Bareboot at your peril - and be prepared to take a few tumbles.
Some drifts on the ridge trail but they will pack down quickly and it is not worth bringing the snowshoes just for that.
No wind today - and a beautiful day. |
