At the trailhead for Class 6 Road Trail and Link Trail on Mountain Rd. The parking was not plowed but snow depths are minimal. Not a problem for cars. |

There's one large step over on Class 6 Rd. Trail shortly above where the it turns left (if ascending) onto the old (Class 6) road. All of the trails on both Uncanoonuc mountains are in need of updated consistent blazing and signage. |

Took a quick hike up here today on my way home from Manchester. It's the nicer of the two Uncs.
Very minimal snow with stretches of bare ground and leaves. This route could probably be done in bare boots but I wore old spikes for the added traction on the steeps and because there is some ice under the snow on Class 6 Rd. Trail.
I took the snowmobile trail down as this bypasses the steep and eroded bits on the upper Blue Trail. |
