Comments
Comments: Trail was packed beautifully! First and last couple of miles are a cakewalk, I bare booted it, didn’t even need spikes. I could have gotten away with just wearing spikes for the steep portions but because they were so steep, I preferred using my snowshoes with the televators up, made a huge difference. The snow was quite sticky too which helped, made the snowshoes really bite into the ground. Pain in the butt going down, would be perfect glissading conditions but it was almost too steep/ I was too lazy to take the snowshoes off- they were sliding down the incline at times. I did eventually take them off though for the last two miles so I could bareboot it again and get moving a bit quicker. If you don’t bring snowshoes you would definitely need some kind of traction for those sections.
