Parking at the trailhead was not plowed. We parked at the scenic Vista (alternate parking, on Route 2) and barebooted to the trail (+0.4 miles each way) |

Trail in good conditions. No blowdowns. Easily avoidable low hanging branches laden with snow (only a minor inconvenience if you are tall) |

The trail is in great shape. We used snowshoes all the way. They were helpful but not needed. Saw a couple of other groups as well. Wonderful day to summit Waumbek. Meow. |
