 | Comments: |
Most of us barebooted the road walk and wore snowshoes trailhead-to-trailhead, but some in our group switched to spikes for the descent from Starr King. Snowshoes were a little annoying at times at lower elevations due to thin snow cover, but we were very glad to have them on after Starr King. Between Starr King and Waumbek, there was much more snow, and it was less packed out. Spikes weren’t causing postholes, but it was definitely more efficient to have snowshoes here. Saturday was a popular day on Waumbek with lots of great pups and two larger hiking groups. |
