Comments
Comments: Nice trail conditions today! Started out in spikes but snowshoes would have worked as well on this section. Put snowshoes on after about 1 mile before getting to the first ledge sections. Snow on the trail ranges in places from more packed and firm to looser, tending to be more unpacked higher up on the mountain. I found snowshoes very helpful in the powdery snow especially in steeper sections. There were a few bony sections of trail, more in the first half of the hike but nothing terrible. There were a few other groups with snowshoes on today and just a few people with spikes so the trail should be in good condition after today.
