Comments
Comments: Blue bird sky, moderate temps, trail was crusty with a base of ice which was avoidable if necessary. Above tree line, snow, bare rock, ice patches. We used microspikes to good effect; bare boot or snowshoes would work if desired. Infinite views north to Mansfield and Vt; S to Monadnock; N to Whites as clear as could be hoped.
Gusty wind buffered all there around; poles helped to stay upright.
Kestrel data: T=17F W= 24-34 gusts WC= -7F.
