|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Significant amount of small blowdown on Carriage all the way from the jct w Hurricane to the jct w Glencliff -- particularly the last stretch near the top. Also quite a bit of carnage on the ridge from S Peak to summit. Not difficult to get around, just annoying. |

We brought one ecstatic direwolf who had the time of her life up there. There's still some running water to be found down low. |

 | Comments: |
Spikes to begin with, but switched to snowshoes just before the jct w Hurricane. Nothing really deep, maybe 2-4" but lots of drifting. Plenty of skiers have done a decent job packing down the trail. Hurricane is NOT tracked out E or W from the jct w Carriage, but not a lot of fresh snow to contend with. Snapper looked postholed but doable, as did Glencliff. The ridge from jct w Glencliff to summit is a tad sketchy -- lots of blowdowns, significant drifting snow. |
