Thanks to everyone who went up these trails with saws in the last couple of weeks. We saw all the fresh cut trees and really appreciate the hard work. I was thrilled my husband didn’t feel the need to use his saw today. Great job! |

Nice day to hike in a snow globe. The trails were set up real nice for us today by the folks who snowshoed the last couple days to these peaks. Thank you!! The lower two miles till about the Wilderness boundary were easy bare booting and then we put on our Tubbs for the uphill part. The traction was perfect for getting up and across the ridge to the two peaks. We opted to keep the snowshoes on till back at the car since we were too lazy to stop and fuss with putting them on our packs. We probably helped the trail out anyway since the other 5 people we saw all were not wearing any snowshoes even on the ridge. The snow up high was very loose and still fluffy. We got snowed on all day while hiking which made the hemlock forest very beautiful. |
