Comments
Comments: Better than expected day with Motha Rush'ya. We ended up barebooting all day and I only slipped once. Choose a small hike because we are both recovering from Covid. Went up Cabin and down Red Hill, which I thought was nice because Red Hill is in the sun and has some nice "stick season" views of the lake.

Cabin was pretty bare with some avoidable ice and snow covered ice on the way up. We visited the Cook cellar holes in the col on the cabin trail. That was neat, and goes back pretty far. There was some avoidable flooding on the spur. The cabin was open and had lots of unidentified animal poop in it. After the cabin the trail was hard packed snow to the summit. It was cold and very windy on the tower, with great 360 views. The southern presis were visible, but the peaks beyond looked socked in.

We quickly headed down instead of changing outfits. The Red Hill trail is a little rocky, but very bare due to sun exposure and was a quick decent. There are good views on the way down with the lack of leaves.
