Took Remi's parents on their first hike in the whites! A winter hike no less! This was our Christmas gift to them, and we stayed the night at the Highland Center. Of course Willard was well-trafficked, but I was surprised that no one has written a trail report in months. So, here you go! Pretty decent sidewalk conditions (which was what we wanted for the parents)--a nice, smooth, hard-packed down track from snowshoes. I wore snowshoes, Remi & mom wore microspikes, dad wore exospikes (all in an effort to make our gear work for the whole group. Snowshoes were not necessary, but I appreciated the big spikes for some patches of thick ice.) Happy trails! |
