Well what a day out there! I made the tagging the top with a few photos and down in under 4 1/2 hours which is killer. The trail was well packed. I saw 1 person carrying snowshoes but I was privy to some Info about how snowshoes were definitely not needed this trip. And going while the good is here! It took 2:45 hours to the summit. I was the last to hit it! There was only puffy snow section but it was blown in on the way up and down (after surprise in the hardwoods). The only animal I saw was a red squirrel. Only had mid mitts on, 2 layers on my top, and a puff skirt. George was saying real feel of -52 but thankfully Moriah is a sheltered peak and only got a few gusts or being breezy. |
