Comments
Comments: SKRG section 9. Did a car spot from New Canada Road to Proctor Academy.
General conditions were 1-3 inches of packed granular snow, a few short sections of ice and other short sections of bare ground.
Two of us bare booted and one had micro spikes on. No issues either way. Didn't encounter any other hikers.
Minor avoidable ice on the mini-slide before the ski slopes. Minor avoidable ice on the mini-chimney going up Pinnacle. The rope for that section is thin but sturdy, and in good condition. Give it a good tug before putting your weight on it, the top section of the rope was frozen to one of the rocks and can surprise you when coming letting go if you're not watching for it.
Trail coming down Pinnacle follows a running streamlet for a bit, though nothing prohibitive. Boggy sections halfway down were 80% frozen, thin ice was avoidable with care, boot depth if you missed.
