Well I woke up tired so NH500 peaks it is! We road walked to the snowmobile trail across from shore road. We saw the massive cairn at the junction and kept going straight. We should have continued further than we thought for the pink taped trail. So instead we bushwhacked and then came upon the trail. We followed this a few times, then realizing this actually takes you the entire way to the summit jar. There were 2 nice views but it was too cloudy to be in awe over. We followed this bootleg trail the whole way (we put spikes on but they immediately balled up and became platforms and I almost rolled an ankle so took them off). Once on the smowmobile trail we kept following the eagle cliff view trail. We did all the way to the bench. After the bench it swings around the back of it and when it turns sharp hairpin left, we went straight and beelined it to the string on a tree. It was so warm that the snow was perfect snowman making snow. We went back to the snowmobile trail, and after the view we went straight down and hit a roadcalled maybe eagle view? Then we walked back to the car. Good day out. |
