Not frozen and rocks not icy. Flowing water - not a major problem. |

Total mileage with road closure is just over 12 miles. Miles 0-2 and 10-12 can be barebooted. Miles 2-4 and 8-10 were sloppy mix of water and slush. Miles 4-8 are packed snow with many postholes, no monorail. Wore micro spikes the whole way - in some parts they were not necessary but not limiting; in some spots they were a must. No need for crampons or snowshoes today. |
