Comments
Comments: Climbed the untrammeled Centennial Trail to Mt. Hayes, took the Mahoosuc Trail down before following the road back to the parking lot on North Road. Clumpy snow required regular removal from spikes down lower on both trails. The Centennial headed up had a few deeper spots of snow with minor postholing in higher sections with larger rocks. Lots of bare spots on the rocks towards the summit, some standing water. Lots of moose droppings and prints, and bear prints as well. Many thanks to the hiker who summited Hayes via Mahoosuc earlier, it was much faster descending in your footsteps!
