This report won’t mean much after the incoming rain but the trail was in great shape today for micro spikes. Wore them door-to-door. Trail is quite bony in places and in others nicely packed and firm. We headed up north first and the trail was actually quite nice. Able to get a good bite with micro spikes and only a little ice. Between the peaks was smooth sailing, as long as you stay on the trail but stepping off definitely resulted in a posthole. We headed down south and it was much better than expected. Quite a few bare rocks, roots and trees to use as we descended with caution. No butt sliding for us. Fantastic conditions for today. |
