 | Comments: |
Wore snowshoes door to door on this 12.6-mile trek on a cloudy day. Got a nice view at Galehead Hut, though, when the clouds broke for a bit. Snowshoes were necessary as the warming temps made the snow much like spring snow. Only snowshoes will keep these trails in packed conditions throughout the winter and it will benefit all if the trails are packed. Only saw 7 or 8 people on a Saturday. Road and ski trail walks are long and monotonous, but that's the price of doing business. |
